Pasta Sneak Peek

Well, we postponed this session I think 3 times waiting for this crazy Kansas weather to FINALLY decide that it’s spring…and today was an absolutely GORGEOUS day!  It was definitely worth the wait!

This family happens to be friends of mine and I love the closeness that I always feel when I’m around them.  Photographing them was so much fun…although I have to admit it makes me a little more nervous than usual because Julie is such an amazing photographer herself (in fact she took the pic of me that I have on this website on the “About Kelly” page)!:)

We had a great time taking these family portraits at the lake – right smack in the middle of Tulip Time, too!

After the snow

So we’ve had over 9 inches of snow this week (most of it fell in about 3 hours).  Only one of my kids enjoys hot chocolate after some snow play, so he and I spent some time with some this afternoon after coming in!:)

As you know if you’ve looked at my site much, I adore lifestyle (semi-photojournalistic) photography…the story that it can tell is oh so much more meaningful than posed-say-cheese images!  The laughter on his face as he was playing with the spoon was a moment I’ll now be able to hang onto forever because of these images.  What moments do you want to hold onto?  Let me help!  Email for a session!:)
