Booking, Planning and After

Please take a moment to read the Children & Family Sessions, High School Senior Photography or Wedding Photography to get a feel for me, my style, how a session will go, etc.

Booking the session

Email me ( or call me (785-817-9518) to work on a date for the session that works for both of us.

I will send you a session contract to fill out and an invoice for half of your session fee. You may pay that invoice by check or credit card as instructed on the invoice.

Once I receive you session contract and payment for half of your session fee, your session date/time will be locked in.

Planning your session

A few weeks before your session I’ll send you an information form to get a feel for what you’re looking for and the personalities and connections of those to be in the portraits.

A phone or in-person consultation may happen if either your or I would like more information or would like to discuss the upcoming session in more detail to ensure you have a wonderful experience.

Viewing your portraits

Within 2 weeks after the session, I’ll contact you to let you know that your portraits are ready for viewing. We’ll work out a date together to go through your portraits in a full set of printed proofs. We’ll talk about which portraits would be good for which size crops, which would look great as a grouping, etc. We’ll go through the options you have for ordering. I even have an app that allows me to show you how your images will look (to-scale) on your own walls!

Our goal at this viewing session is to put together an order that will meet your needs and provide you with beautiful portraits.

Placing your order

Next, I’ll send you an invoice with the order discussed at the viewing session. I’ll get any story-boards or album layouts to you for approval. Once all designs have been approved, I need 50% of the order total to place your order.

Portraits will be delivered to you within 2 weeks of you placing your order. Any remaining balance on the print order is due at the time you receive your prints.
